Re-branding is a term that is often used to re-invent yourself. While it is commonly used, I prefer the term to EVOLVE your brand. Because, face it, you definitely have a brand (personal reputation) that is already active and used.
It takes time to change people’s perception and shift their ideas about you.
So, here’s how to start:
- Find out what is your current brand
- What attributes of your current brand do you want to keep and emphasize?
- What attributes do you need to de-emphasize? To decrease?
- What are some ways that you show those attributes that you would like to decrease? What do you say? What do you do? That bring about the thought or the feeling of that attribute.
- Which ones will you start decreasing now? How will you track that?
