ConnectAbility Checklist
Before going out to make great connections, review the following list to get past the “grip, grin & graze” and to real ConnectAbility!
____1. Do you believe in yourself and engage in some sort of ATTRACTION activity to align yourself to “attract” the right clients & the “right referral sources”?
____2. Do you ENJOY what you’re doing? People can HEAR your MUSIC not your words. They will “hear” the absence of joy.
____3. Do you know what value you give your clients?
______4. What makes YOU unique? Remember, people DO business with people. Not companies, not products, not services - people!
____5. Do you have a story about you helping a client? How do you SAVE their day? What problems do you SOLVE? Or, how do you serve them? Facts may tell however, stories sell!
____6. Are you familiar and comfortable with the “rules of engagement”? (Chapter 5 of Dale Carnegie’s “How To Win Friends And Influence People”)
____7. Do you have a 10 second introduction that compels people to ask “tell me more”?
____8. Do you exceed your industry standards? In what ways do you EXCEED those standards?
____9. Can you describe how you BENEFIT your client? Why do they seek you out? What do you do for them? (If you’re not sure, ask 3 clients - it will be a WONDERFUL gift to yourself).
____10. Do you know what two marketing strategies you are focusing on and employing over the next 28 days?
____11. Have you identified in what area of the Universal Marketing Cycle you are stuck so that you can time block to address that area and “unplug” your success?
____12. Do you have business cards that make you proud?
____13. Is your business ready to “receive” visitors & clients? How is your phone answered? How are messages retrieved?
____14. Do you have a strategic follow-up plan in place? (Fail to plan - plan to fail)
____15. Do you have a strategic marketing & referral plan in place? Without a plan, you are in danger of wasting your time!
____16. Are all your success ingredients in place so that you can take on more business, more contacts and do it well? Have at least 3 success ingredients~
____17. Have you identified your ten daily actions and the tracking for consistency? (remember, the tortoise - not the hare - won the race!)
____18. Do you have six people at 212 or identified six? (it’s the 6 degrees of separation).
____19. Have you removed yourself from “negative” or “bad” associations? (checklist available to review - contact coach Maria Elena)
____20. Are you strategic about where you’re making your connections (happy to review your networking associations and coach on the three that are the best associations for your industry!)
____21. Do you look professional for your industry? And exceed it? Do you smell nice? Brush your teeth? Comb your hair? Wash your face? (You’ll be amazed how many people are out there connecting (or attempting to) with coffee stained teeth, sweaty hair, smelling of smoke and look a mess!)
